    在Radiohead专辑Hail to the Thief中，A wolf at the Door似乎一直游荡在人们关注之外。不知是被There There抢去了风头还是人们对它那诡异得莫名其妙的歌词有着与之俱来的抵制。从THOM如同念经般的呓语中很难了解他要表达什么，甚至看过歌词仍然是云山雾罩。A wolf at the Door原自俚语keep the wolf from the door(勉强糊口维持生活）。远古的时候是拒狼余门外；在二十一世纪的今天又是拒什么于门外呢？抛开歌词，不知他的yearning是否给人一种笼中困兽挣扎的感觉。
   
TO 返回：给你点时间练练舌头好了，客人不会在意一个女人翻唱THOM的歌更何况他们都未必知道THOM。不过我保证你要是练好这首歌就差不多可以打遍天下无敌手了，笑~

  Snakes & Ladders -- 一种掷鹘子益智游戏
  pop the cracker  -- 放炮竹
  steel toe caps   -- 钢头鞋，应该是指类似警察之类的
  gunge -- 垃圾
  flan -- 一种馅饼
  squeal to the cops -- 指报警
  Stepford wives -- 原自电影《The Stepford Wives》(复制娇妻)里面的那些没有自我面孔千篇一律的"完美妻子"，指依赖他人唯命是从的女人。
